In Windows 7, Microsoft has introduced all new way of interacting with the Windows UI - Gestures. Thats write now you can use gestures to manage some functionality of your desktop. If you have used firefox with a popular extension called firegestures then you probably are already aware of the functionality of gestures. There are 3 very useful gestures that can make working with Windows 7 much easier: -
To quickly maximize a window, grab the title bar of the window by clicking on it, and then quickly drag the mouse so that the pointer touches the top of the screen. The window will grow to fill the screen. To bring it back to original size just drag it back to the desktop
- You can make the window fill entire right or left side of the screen by grabbing the title bar and dragging it to the left side or the right side of the sreen so that the pointer touches the edge of the screen. This is useful if you have two windows that contain similar information and you want to compare them side by side. To bring them back to original size just drag them back to desktop
- The third and the most useful is called Aero shake. If you have lots of windows open on your screen and you want to minimize all windows except one and thereby reduce clutter, you can just grab that window and shake it back and forth. This will minimize all other windows except the one that you are shaking.
